''The one thing is we've never really captured that 'live' feeling,'' says the frotnman. ''We've gone for sometimes more polish. We've obviously emulated bands like Queen in trying to get that classic, late-'70s glam sound, and we've gone for that at times, especially on the last record. But then, when we're playing this stuff live, it's ultimately going to get more aggressive, so I think it'd be interesting to hear what the band sounds like recorded at least somewhat in those parameters of a live set.'' In related news, guitarist Frank Iero has told Kerrang! that MCR hope to get into the studio to release the follow-up to 2006's The Black Parade as soon as possible. "We got together in October to finish up a song for the soundtrack to the film Watchmen. That happened in New York, where we mixed and mastered the song. All we want to do now is to get together and write again. Really, right now, it's a waiting game to see whether Bob [Bryar, drummer who has suffered ongoing wrist injuries] is 100 per cent." For the full interview, be sure to pick up a copy of this week's Kerrang! magazine.

A message from Bob :DMESSAGE FROM BOBnewshi! its bob it's been a long time since since we have talked. i just wanted to say hi and fill people in on what has been happening with us. as a whole we are all getting ready to get rolling again. we really needed this break but enough is enough already. i cant wait to see the refreshed and excited MCR again. no more falling asleep at 5pm, no more drinking 20 red bulls, just good times coming up. i will start with myself. my weird zoro scar on my wrist is going down finally. i have been doing physical therapy every few days now which is helping out a ton. i have to sit and lift tiny weights over and over again until i cant anymore, then i play with putty, then i stack cups, sometimes i squeeze plastic, play with rice, etc. It kinda feels like when i was in kindergarten day care except it hurts. my favorite part is hearing the stories of the other patients. one lady fell down her stairs because she tripped on her cat and broke her shoulder. i try not to laugh but i cant help it. i was actually sitting with a player from the bears last week too. that guy was about 20 feet tall and as big as a house. i didn't look him in the eye. i think i have a couple months before i am back to playing again. i am always going to have pain in my hand so i will be changing my playing a bit. i have to rearrange my drums and i will need to play waaay lighter. dont call me a p@$^y when you see me. Other then that i am just hanging out. i got another dog! i now have two black german shepherds. they rule. they are my buddies. i am going to bring them everywhere with me. toro got a new puppy too. frank has 19 dogs now. i shot up up my garage with a pistol and the cops came. that was fun..... i also have been playing halo again. halo and legos is actually part of therapy for me. i just hit level 35 which is awesome for me. i would love to challenge anybody to a duel. my xbox name is dixiediarrhea (long story, my dogs name is dixie, she had diarrhea). if anyone knows souljaboy personally please let him know i challenge him. that guy seems like an awesome dude and i want to play against him. he says he can beat anyone. dixiediarrhea says differently. i will bet 2 dollars that i whoop him. anyway, i see that im rambling. im tired. i was going to fill you in on everyone else but i dont want to anymore. hahaha. which actually brings me to a point. we are soon going to launch a new website. its going to be very simple and to the point. one of the new features will be us typing in on our phones straight to the site so everyone can tell you themselves what they are up to. now that we are coming out of MCR hibernation we want to keep everyone informed and to maybe have some fun. blogathon 5000. i will type in all the juicy details like perez hilton. ok. im going to bed. me and my friend, the sanch, and dixie are
about to drive from chicago to los angeles to hang with gerard and
friends. come hang out. see everyone soon or on halo

August 13, 2008MCR: ''People need to miss us''MCR: "People need to miss us"
It's just not gonna be any time soon though... "We can't make any more music unless we live," frotnman Gerard Way told MTV in a recent interview. "When we get a chance, we're going to get together and do some demos and start rolling. But we're going to take it slow. I feel like we needed to be away for a while. People need to kind of miss us because there was a point in the last two-and-a-half years where you could have seen us at least once a month if you wanted." The singer, who tied the knot with Mindless Self Indulgence bassist Lyn-Z last September, is taking time off to enjoy married life as well as working on the follow-up to his award winning comic book, The Umbrella Academy, and he is also busy penning another "top secret" comic for DC Comics. His brother and MCR bassist Mikey Way is also working on a comic book, guitarist Frank Iero is taking time off to have some fun with his side-project Leathermouth, Ray Toro is busy preparing to wed his long time girlfriend Christa as well as gigging with his Wezer cover band and drummer Bob Bryar is enjoying some quality time with his family in his native Chicago. However, album number four is not far from the band's thoughts. "I'm already starting to get the ideas and the aesthetics and everything [for the record]," continued Way. When asked how it'll compare to their previous efforts, he replied: "It's [going to be] very different from The Black Parade." So, how different is different? "It's hard to say at this point, but musically, how Black Parade tapped into the glam, classic rock of Queen and Ziggy Stardust, this taps into something different - not punk, but maybe in its proto sense. The aesthetic - it is extremely different, and it is more stripped-down too." "It will be more direct, more about life, and have more social commentary in there," Gerard continues. "That's where it's kind of heading now. It won't be a 'boohoo' record about 'Oh, we got famous,' but a commentary on how the world is now." As previously reported on Kerrang! dot com, MCR will contribute a cover of Bob Dylan's Desolation Row for an upcoming film adaptation of Alan Moore's graphic novel, Watchmen, which is due out in 2009.

August 12, 2008Paramore start work on album number three :)Paramore start work on album number three
Speaking to US magazine Billboard, guitarist Josh Farro said the new material is taking a more mellow direction, and they hope to have it finished for a mid 2009 release. "The first record [2005's All We Know Is Falling) and Riot! seemed to stay at the same level," said Farro. "But now we've got some really, really mellow songs that you'd never expect to hear out of our band. "But then we've got even heavier songs than we've ever had," he continued. "It's gonna be a little different."

July 25, 2008Mcr to cover Bob Dylan. My Chem to cover Bob Dylan
The band, who will be following in the footsteps of fellow rockers Guns N' Roses who covered Bob Dylan's Knockin' on Heaven's Door in 1992, will be covering Desolation Row from Dylan's 1965 album, Highway 61 Revisited, for the flick. "My Chemical Romance [are] absolutely awesome," director Zack Snyder told MTV. "And Gerard is a huge fan of Watchmen." "He's a super-great guy, and an awesome musician," the director continues. "And so we're trying to work with them right now to put together possibly a song for the end titles. I've talked with him and I've heard a little bit of some stuff that's he's [been doing] and it's pretty freaking cool." My Chemical Romance will be the only 'modern' band to feature on the film's soundtrack. Watchmen will hit cinemas next year.

May 25, 2008A message from Mcr..A MESSAGE FROM MY CHEMICAL ROMANCEnewsWe have recently learned of the suicide and tragic loss of Hannah Bond. We'd like to send our condolences to her family during this time of mourning. Our hearts and thoughts are with them. My Chemical Romance are and always have been vocally anti-violence and anti-suicide. As a band, we have always made it one of our missions through our actions to provide comfort, support, and solace to our fans. The message and theme of our album "The Black Parade" is hope and courage. Our lyrics are about finding the strength to keep living through pain and hard times. The last song on our album states: "I am not afraid to keep on living" - a sentiment that embodies the band's position on hardships we all face as human beings. If you or anyone that you know have feelings of depression or suicide, we urge you to find your way and your voice to deal with these feelings positively.

May 20, 2008''It's offensive that I am now just 'Mrs Gerard Way''' - Lyn-Z."It's offensive that I am now just 'Mrs Gerard Way'"
As the bassist for Mindless Self Indulgence, she's avoided being in the spotlight, but since she married someone who is a regular in the pages of Kerrang! magazine, it's a different story. She now finds herself the topic of discussions on messageboards - envied, admired and hated purely because of the ring on the fourth finger on her left hand. But all she wants to do is show the world that women can rock as hard, if not harder, then men. Here's an extract... HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE ATTENTION YOU'RE RECEIVING AS A RESULT OF YOUR MARRIAGE? YOU MUST HAVE EXPECTED IT, THOUGH? WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL ABOUT IT? SO WHY DO YOU DO WHAT YOU DO?

May 11, 2008British media claim the Mcr's music inspired a teenage girl to commit suicide >:(
My Chemical Romance played the final show of their Black Parade world tour this past Friday (May 9) at legendary New York venue Madison Square Garden.
Closing their set with a rip-roaring rendition of hit single Helena, lead singer Gerard Way used the final moments of their performance to hit out against the right-wing British media who claim the band's music inspired a teenage girl to commit suicide. Way repeated the line "If we never play another show ever again keep yourself alive" over and over again until he and guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero, bassist Mikey Way and drummer Bob Bryar left the stage. You can view photos from the show here. In related news, in an interview with US newspaper, The Detroit News, Way announced that the band will be on a "recording hiatus" for the next twelve months saying that the next My Chemical Romance album "won't be ready until 2009 at least." Way said he and his band mates will use the time "to really evaluate what the band is, to reshape it yet again" and come back "with completely fresh ears." The band's new live CD/DVD package, The Black Parade Is Dead, will be released on June 30 according to Amazon. You can view the artwork here. This is bullshit. xo

May 7, 2008Mikey's message :)GET THE NEW MCR CD/DVD - WITH SPECIAL MASKS MADE BY THE BAND!newsHey Guys and Gals, We have all been anxiously waiting for June 24th. On this day, the DVD/CD entitled "The Black Parade is Dead" hits stores, online outlets, and other avenues. Starting today, you'll be able to preorder said DVD/CD directly from We also decided to include a video of the intimate show we had at New Jersey's legendary club, Maxwells, this past October. We played one of our very first shows on that stage, and it was amazing to be on it once again. These shows were some of the most memorable and fun we've ever had onstage. The kids at the Mexico City show actually overpowered the PA, and their voices were deafening. The Maxwells show was complete pandemonium, and the video captures the feeling of and old school MCR show, the way it was way back when. I want to apologize for the wait, as we wanted to make sure that it was absolutely perfect for your viewing pleasure. With the pre-order, you are entitled to 3 DRM-free download of select tracks from the Mexico City show (Mama, Dead, and Welcome to the Black Parade). Inside the special edition, you'll find the DVD tucked inside of a collectible pinewood coffin box with our logo burned into the top. Also, inside, you will receive 1 of 5 Day of The Dead-esque masks we each designed. We had a blast designing them, and hope you have a blast wearing them, (or whatever else you choose to do with them). The special edition also contains a "death certificate of authenticity with our signatures printed on it. This edition if extremely limited, so if you want one, pre-order sooner than later. We are almost finished with our special intimate theater tour and it's been insane. Some of venues we haven't played in many years, and flood my head with fond memories. It's amazing to be able to share with all of our fans old and new. We love each and every one of you, and hope you have as much fun watching it as we had making it. Regards Mikeyway

April 7, 2008'Assholes of the Wild West' is what Mcr's upcoming album is gonna be called XD
My Chem
were the perfect closers — they name-checked Frances Bean, saying she was asking what they're gonna be up to in the future. Gerard responded, "We're gonna take a break for 6 or 7 months, then come back and write a new record It's gonna sound like a bunch of cowboy songs. And we're going to call it 'A--holes of the Wild West!"
